Which kingdom? You may well ask! Amazingly in our modern world there are still quite a few. I have had the pleasure in visiting a couple on my writing trips. A few years back the Kingdom of Cambodia was my favorite. I ran a number number of workshops there. But since last year my fave kingdom is Bhutan. Where gross national happiness is a priority and where you feel like you have stepped back in time into a fantastical medieval world, where people go about their lives as they always have. Last year a group of us spent ten days crisscrossing the wild moutains and serene valleys of this fascinating land. In August we will go again exploring the parts we didn’t get to last time and joining the Mountain Echoes Writers Festival in Thimpu.
